Students Celebrate Fall with Octoberfest
Dozens of students flooded the campus mall over the weekend for a favorite fall event.
The Campus Activities Board hosted its annual Octoberfest celebration, which featured a variety of stations, including a candy corn count, wooden pumpkin crafts, caricatures, a petting zoo, inflatables, and cornhole.
“We typically start planning this event in July. The CAB students come early before the event to start setting up and decorating to make the campus feel like fall.”
Octoberfest is widely loved and celebrated throughout campus. Several student organizations also hosted tables with food and crafts, including a make your own trail mix station, fall coloring pages, an ‘I am thankful for’ poster project, and writing thank you notes to our service members.
Gianna McGann ’25, a communication major who recently transferred to DeSales, thought the event was a great way to meet new people.
“I’ve been trying to come to more on-campus events, and I thought Octoberfest would be a great time to do this,” she said. “I loved the variety of the different stations and the fact that everything revolved around the fall theme.”
