DeSales Receives 2023 Business Impact Award

That was the message from Kay Malek, Ph.D., director of the doctor of physical therapy program, as she accepted an honor on behalf of the campus community.
The Southern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce recently presented DeSales with its 2023 Business Impact Award. The award recognizes organizations for their profound impact on the area through their projects and resources.
“One of the things that makes DeSales students, faculty, and staff different is that we are very much committed to service and serving those that are less fortunate and need our support. Thank you for recognizing the work that we are doing; we appreciate it very much.”
The chamber singled out DeSales for its community involvement and pro bono clinics in speech-language pathology, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies and students for their more than 24,000 hours of community service.
