Residence Life Celebrates Pi Day with Pie an RA
Resident advisors and a few special guests were pied in the face by students for not one, but two good causes.
Residence life hosted a Pie an RA event in the Dorothy Day Student Union on Pi Day. It was the first time the event was opened to the entire DeSales community.
For $2, students could pie an RA of their choosing. And for just a few dollars more, they could pie Father James Greenfield, OSFS ’84, Ed.D., president; Josie Carr, director of housing and meal plans; or Andy Auguste, director of residence life.
“I’m excited to be a part of this because donations support two causes that are near and dear to a lot of us on the residence life staff.”
The event raised money for Colleges Against Cancer and Special Olympics. Kevin Lenahan ’22, a graduate student and residence hall director, explained that the team came up with the idea to bring students together while increasing awareness of two important causes.
