Trexler Library is celebrating Black History by highlighting the many voices that have changed the trajectory of our nation for the better. From Frederick Douglass to Ruby Bridges and every person of color past, present, and future, we now walk the road they paved before us, listening to words they’ve spoken and using them to foster unity in diversity in our homes, schools, and country.

Our display “The Road to Resilience” features ten influential leaders, path-pavers, and innovators that can inspire us today by dreaming like Martin, fighting like Muhammad, or writing like Maya. Whatever inspiration you need today, you can find in our display located in the lobby of the library.
