DeSales to Host Special On-Campus Commencement for Class of 2020
Cue the pomp and circumstance. After a yearlong wait, members of DeSales University’s Class of 2020 are finally getting their chance to cross the graduation stage.
More than 150 alumni will be returning to campus on Saturday, August 14 for a special on-campus Commencement beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the campus mall.
Alums, dressed in their caps and gowns, will receive a special certificate of gratitude from Father James Greenfield, OSFS ’84, president of DeSales, as they walk across the stage.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the Class of 2020 with this in-person ceremony. Last April, when the announcement was made to move Commencement virtually, we knew we wanted to get to this point where the graduates could have their moment. Their hard work and perseverance deserve to be celebrated.”
The ceremony will be followed by a Mass in Connelly Chapel at 1:00 p.m. and a sunset soiree at 6:00 p.m. at The Amore Family Plaza at Weiland Park, where the class will present its senior class gift.
