Happy National Library Week

Celebrate National Library Week with Trexler Library from April 5-9, 2021! This year the theme is Welcome to Your Library, promoting the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building and that everyone is welcome to use our services. We have a display in our lobby outlining our services and with resources about National Library Week to welcome you to Trexler.

Here are some ways to join our celebration throughout the week:

• Write why you like your library on a post-it and leave it on the large white board in our lobby
• Complete our Trexler Library Trivia for a chance to win a $10 DeSales Dining gift card
• Check out the National Library Week display 
• Thank a library worker on Tuesday for National Library Workers Day
• Follow us on social media @desales_trexler for a library tour throughout the week

National Library Week began in 1958 when the American Library Association and the American Book Publishers came together to encourage the public to read more, and therefore support and use libraries more. Each April it is celebrated by libraries across the country in recognition of library staff and the services they provide their communities.
