Lina Barbieri Named Woman of Influence by Lehigh Valley Business

Lina Barbieri '94 is joining a prestigious group of women in the Lehigh Valley. 

Lehigh Valley Business has named Barbieri, associate vice president for annual giving, as one of its 38 Women of Influence for 2021. 

The award honors high-achieving women for their career accomplishments. Honorees are selected based on their professional experience, community involvement, leadership, and sustained commitment to mentoring. 

As part of its virtual celebration in May, the multimedia news source asked recipients to reflect on the community that means the most to them. 

“There are a lot of community groups that I feel strongly about,” says Barbieri, “but the one that I keep coming back to is DeSales University. I get to do work that inspires me and speaks to me every single day. If that means that I have some kind of influence, I’m happy and humbled to accept that.”
