The Division of Performing Arts is pleased to offer online professional dance training with the 2020 Virtual Summer Dance Intensive July 27 to 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The program features a one-week intensive experience into dance technique and theory for ages 14 and up. The daily schedule of classes includes somatics, Ballet barre, technique, theory, and optional workshops and sessions.

“We are thrilled to invite students to join us this summer at the new Virtual DeSales University Summer Dance Intensive,” says program director Angela Sigley Grossman. “Through a series of virtual Zoom classes in both dance technique and theory, participants will get to know the faculty in the DeSales Dance Department and learn from esteemed guest artists. We hope to see you on our screens this summer!”

The Virtual Summer Dance Intensive at DeSales is an intermediate/advanced dance training program for students entering high school and above. There are no exceptions to the minimum age of 14 – students must be 14 by the start date of the intensive. Interested students must have previous dance training.

The 2020 Virtual Summer Dance Intensive runs July 27 to 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuition is $325 with a $25 application fee. For more information, contact director Angela Sigley Grossman at SDI@desales.edu or visit desales.edu/sdi.
