The campus community is ready to celebrate the class of 2019.

Father James J. Greenfield, OSFS '84, president of DeSales, will confer degrees upon 463 graduating students—including undergraduates, graduates, and ACCESS students—during the University’s 51st commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18.

An additional 156 students, who have either already received their degrees or who will be receiving them in the next several months, also will be recognized.

Paul Meiklejohn ’69, a member of the first graduating class of Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales, will deliver the commencement address. He graduated with a degree in chemistry and went on to obtain a master’s of science in inorganic chemistry from Georgetown University and later a law degree from the Washington College of Law (American University) in Washington, D.C.

Meiklejohn is a partner at Dorsey & Whitney in Seattle, Washington, where he litigates cases involving intellectual property. He also teaches a course in patent infringement litigation at the University of Washington Law School.

Commencement will be held on the campus mall beginning at 11:00 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, it will be moved to Billera Hall.
