Everyone Has A Story At DeSales TV/Film School

DeSales University Film Festival (DUFF) celebrated its 18th edition on March 24 with 15 films and an excellent audience turn out.

Like every year, the one-night event shared the best of film majors' work with the community of the Lehigh Valley.

"Everyone Has A Story" was the slogan for this edition. The wide variety of themes and genres was a clear proof of that with shorts representing all genres, including science fiction and horror. This year's documentary selection was also praised.

The prize for Best Film went to "Journey Man" by Joe Bologna, a narrative about a boxer struggling with mental illness. It also won the Audience Award. The Honorary Mention went to the documentary "The Conductor" by Adam Barbato and Tony Antonelli, about the day in the life of a train driver.

This year's guest adjudicator was Tim Albaugh, a professional screenwriter and lecturer at UCLA's Department of Film and Television.

DeSales University Film Festival seeks to cultivate and honor the work created by its TV/ Film majors. All works are conceived, written, and produced by the students, who are the emerging directors, screenwriters, producers, cinematographers, and editors of tomorrow. DUFF is entirely organized by a student committee.
