R. Scott Mattingly, Ed.D.

Dr. R. Scott Mattingly is the associate dean of academic life and an assistant professor of education at DeSales University. Originally from Lexington, KY, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bellarmine University, with a degree in English. Additionally, he holds degrees in higher education administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded Outstanding Scholar of his graduating class; and Temple University, where he was selected to give the Student Keynote Address for the Doctoral Hooding Ceremony.
An interdisciplinarian at heart, Dr. Mattingly’s recent professional interests, publications, and presentations have centered on the importance of cultivating inclusivity, dialogue, and a sense of vocation within higher education. He also serves on the board of Mater Dei Catholic School in Lansdale, PA.
