DPT + MBA: Physical Therapy and Business Administration Dual Degree, Doctorate , Master's

Overview

Business management and administrative skills are of increasing relevance to physical therapists. For therapists in senior management or private practice, these skills are essential.

At DeSales, the dual degree DPT/MBA program addresses the skills gap by empowering physical therapists with proficiencies in business strategy, marketing, finance, operations, technology, and more. Graduates earn a doctoral degree as well as an MBA with a concentration in healthcare management.

Through this program, students are trained to practice physical therapy in a manner that exemplifies the Salesian humanistic values of compassion, gentleness, humility, and gratitude. With the academic credential of DPT/MBA, you are well-positioned to positively affect patient outcomes and assume senior-level administrative responsibilities in many healthcare organizations.

Faculty who teach in the dual degree program include published researchers and industry practitioners. You will graduate with theoretical knowledge of clinical sciences and evidence-based practice in designing effective and contemporary treatment plans. Additionally, you will learn how health systems function and develop the business savvy needed to drive organizational effectiveness.
