Effective immediately and in accordance with Pennsylvania Act 153, all new faculty and staff at DeSales University whose position with the University has been determined to potentially have direct contact or routine interaction with individuals under 18 years of age must successfully complete a background check, including a Criminal History Report from the Pennsylvania State Police, a Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services and a fingerprint based criminal history submitted through the FBI as a condition of employment.  Position: Manager of Advancement Information Services   

Type: Full Time Exempt

Location: Advancement Services

 Scope:

The Manager of Advancement Information Services is responsible for the creation of reports, ensuring that advancement staff is trained in the proper use of the database, developing and implementing policies to guide data entry, and making sure that the database effectively captures alumni and donor information and generates accurate financial and analytical reports.

 Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent will be considered if there is demonstrated work experience in the field.

• Advanced knowledge of Colleague software and Colleague Advancement in particular preferred

• Advanced knowledge of the Entrinsik Informer reporting software preferred

• Advanced knowledge of fundraising procedures

• Working knowledge of legal codes and ability to interpret IRS rulings as they apply to charitable contributions and fundraising

• Working knowledge of importing/exporting data information from several different software programs

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

• Work experience in a fundraising environment a plus

• Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity

• Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution
