Dr. Nichole L. Hartman is the Advanced Practice Simulation Faculty for the graduate nursing program. Dr. Hartman obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995, Master of Science in Nursing with focus as Family Nurse Practitioner in 2002, and Doctor of Nursing Practice in Clinical Leadership in 2013, all from DeSales University. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner. Dr. Hartman’s background as a nurse was in medical surgical oncology nursing. Since obtaining her FNP, she has practiced in pulmonary and sleep medicine, pediatrics, college health, and as a hospitalist in internal medicine.

Dr. Hartman has served as preceptor for nurse practitioner students for the past 15 years. She had also been involved with the FNP program at DeSales as adjunct clinical nursing faculty.

Dr. Hartman has personal interest in the education and personal growth, and development of nursing students from undergraduate to graduate nursing. She has also been advisor to DNP students with their scholarly projects.

She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Mu Omicron Chapter and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She was the recipient of the Nursing Excellence Award in the category of Advanced Practice from St Luke’s University Health Network. Her most recent accomplishment was being elected as a School Director of the Whitehall Coplay School District.
