Martin J. Brett, Ph.D.
Associate Professor; Chair of Sport Management Major
Dr. Brett is an associate professor and chair of the sport management major at DeSales University. Prior to joining the Division of Business at DeSales, he earned a Ph.D. and MA from The Ohio State University in sport and exercise management. Dr. Brett is also a graduate of DeSales University with a BA in politics.
Aside from his experience as a collegiate soccer player, Dr. Brett has worked in event management with MSG Promotions Inc. (U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open), Columbus Crew SC and MAPFRE Stadium (the first soccer specific stadium built in the U.S.), grass-roots marketing, and event management with national 3v3 basketball and soccer tours, collegiate athletic operations, event marketing (GMC), and media relations for Nationwide Arena.
Outside of the University, Dr. Brett enjoys coaching, reading, and supporting his favorite sports teams. He resides in Easton, PA with his wife and son.
