Elisabeth Felten is an assistant professor in the Division of Business where she teaches undergraduate and MBA courses in accounting and finance. Prior to joining DeSales, she taught in the business schools of the University of Iowa and University of Minnesota.  

She earned her MBA from the University of Iowa, Tippie College of Business and her BSBA in Accounting from American University. She holds CPA licenses in Maryland (inactive), New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).  

Elisabeth is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association - Eastern PA region, Pennsylvania Society of Tax and Accounting Professionals and the American Institute of CPAs. She holds certificates from the AICPA in Not-for-Profit accounting and Data Analytics. 

Professor Felten teaches financial, managerial, governmental and not-for-profit accounting, data analytics and general business courses including new ventures and international business. Her research interests include disability issues and the human impact of accounting.  

When not on campus, Elisabeth serves on a panel that trains judges and court officials on autism. She also runs a post-secondary continuing education program for adults with intellectual disabilities.
