Dining Options

While the DUC will likely be your go-to dining hall, offering three meals a day, tons of snacks, and an amazing view, you can find whatever fare you’re craving on campus. Grab a sandwich from Jimmy John’s. Enjoy made-to-order sushi and poke bowls at Wild Blue Sushi. Sip on fresh fruit juice or a smoothie from natural!, or grab a latte at Starbucks in the Skylight Lounge. Worried about dietary restrictions? We’ll accommodate those too.

DeSales' dining program offers variety and convenience to students living on and off campus. Campus meal plans are designed to fit your lifestyle and needs.

Running low on Dining Dollars?

A Paw Bucks account is a declining debit account accessed with your University ID Card. This account provides students with the convenience to make purchases at the Campus Store, dining halls, or at select off-campus merchants without carrying cash. All University students are eligible to open a Paw Bucks account.

Resident Students

Freshman students are required to purchase a meal plan to get exposed to the full DeSales dining experience. Freshmen have their choice of either the 5 or 7 meal plan. Upperclassmen who live in a residence hall are required to purchase the 5 meal plan and on-campus apartment residents are required to purchase the 3 meal plan.

Commuter Students

Commuters and off-campus students can choose any meal plan, open a Paw Bucks Account, or have no plan at all. The commuters will benefit by saving time and money, no cooking, and a variety of culinary delights.

Voluntary

Students visiting the Center Valley campus a few days a week are invited to add Paw Bucks to their University Card. Use them instead of cash at the UC Food Court, Jimmy Johns and Frankie's Market in Dorothy Day, Skylight Lounge in Dooling Hall, and Pulse Café in Gambet Center.

Faculty/Staff

Faculty and staff meal plans are purchased through adding Paw Bucks, a declining pre-paid service account that can be purchased at any time. Faculty and staff can enjoy a 15% discount on all purchases and a rewards program for using Paw Bucks.

University Center Food Court

DeSales’ beautiful food court combines gorgeous views, communal dining and delectable food to make every meal memorable. Feast at one of our five fresh food stations:

Le Bistro

Home style meals with an everyday variety. You can also enjoy vegetarian/vegan options here daily!

Sauté

Fun, healthy, and protein filled salads made to order during the week. Favorite ingredients include popcorn chicken and our unique salad dressings such as our wasabi dressing for our asian salad and our white raspberry vinaigrette for our loaded power salad.

Simply 3

Simply 3 is a designated allergen-free station which focuses on recipes without milk, nuts, and gluten. Simply 3 focuses on three highly avoided allergens to provide students with both safe meals and the opportunity for increased variety.

Grille

All your grilled favorites from burgers and cheesesteaks to chicken fingers and mac & cheese bites. Make sure to check out our weekly specials too!

Pizza & Amoré

Hand tossed pizza favorites & stromboli, alongside homemade marinara and alfredo sauces, to top a rotating pasta of the day.

Pulse Café

The Pulse Café, located on the first floor of the Gambet Center, offers an all-natural smoothie and juice bar, natural!, as well as a freshly made sushi bar, Wild Blue Sushi.

Pulse also offers a self-serve coffee station with Peets Coffee and a variety of grab & go sandwiches, salads and more.

Wild Blue Sushi

You will find the amazing international flavors you’ve been craving at Wild Blue. Choose a mix of classic and exotic fresh sushi rolls or our appetizing poke bowls. Featuring delicious, beautifully prepared sushi favorites, such as California rolls, spicy crab rolls and combination platters. Vegetarian options include cream cheese sushi and vegetable rolls.

Skylight Lounge

Located in the first-floor lounge of Dooling Hall, Skylight Lounge offers snacks, tasty meals, and your favorite Starbucks beverages. Enjoy bagels and parfaits, fresh baked goods and Grab-N-Go items.

Frankie’s Market

Located in the Dorothy Day Student Union, Frankie's Market hosts a Jimmy Johns Sandwich Shop as well as a convenience store with all the quick shop items you can ask for. Frankie's has freshly made grab and go items available such as assorted fruit and vegetable cups & salads. Fresh fruit, ice cream, bagged snacks, toiletries & assorted bottled beverages round out your convenience options.

Jimmy John's

At Jimmy John's, we don't make sandwiches. We make The Sandwich of Sandwiches. We use fresh vegetables because we don't hate salads, we just feel bad for them. We hand-slice our provolone cheese and meats in-house every day, because packaged pre-sliced meats doesn't have the same ring to it. The flavors of fresh-veggies, combined with hand-sliced meats and fresh-baked bread is what makes a Jimmy John's sandwich The Sandwich of Sandwiches.
