Program Highlights
Making Films from Day One
- As a first-year student you’ll create films with state-of-the-art cameras and editing systems. By the time you graduate you have approximately 40 film projects under your belt. Film projects include news, sports, and music videos to comedies and dramas. Students are the driving force behind every phase of production — including writing, directing, camera, lighting, on-air, producing and editing.
Faculty Mentorship
- Our faculty helps you develop and build a body of work that puts you on the right track professionally. We will help you develop a demo reel and résumé. You will emerge with the type of hands-on professional experience you'll carry with you for a lifetime.
Our Virtual Production Studio
- Our virtual production studio and LED volume marks the leading edge and future of filmmaking. Used on shows such as “The Mandalorian” and “Star Trek: Discovery,” this state-of-the-art technology came to DeSales through a collaboration between TV/Film and the computer science/digital arts program. It is one of the amazing tools available for you to bring your cinematic visions to life.

In addition to writers and other behind the camera jobs, growth in the motion picture and video industry is driven by the public’s strong appetite for more movies and television shows

Admission Requirements
- Completed application to DeSales University.
- A bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing major from an accredited college or university with a graduating grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 (or 3.0 for the ABSN+ program) or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Completion of prerequisite coursework.
- Entrance exams are NOT required.
- No additional application is needed for the ABSN Plus program.
- In addition to meeting all academic requirements, students must meet the functional abilities essential for nursing practice.
Artistic Acceptance
To be accepted artistically into a performing arts major, you must audition/interview for our faculty during our annual Scholarship Audition/Interview Day(s) hosted on the DeSales campus.
