Many DeSales nursing graduates begin their careers at one of the Lehigh Valley's nationally recognized health networks. Other DeSales nursing graduates assume clinical and leadership positions in health networks throughout the United States. Admission Criteria
- A High School Diploma or GED, and at least one of the following must apply:
- You have been out of high school for 5+ years
- You are a veteran or active duty service member
- You have a full-time career and/or other significant non-academic responsibilities, such as being self-supporting or having financial dependents
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.*
- Completion of required courses within 5 years of applying to the professional phase of nursing. See the FAQs for details.
Prerequisites
Already Attended Some College?
We will be happy to evaluate your prior college courses. DeSales accepts up to 75 credits from regionally accredited colleges and universities. All transferred credits must be applicable to some curriculum offered at DeSales University. You must complete at least 15 three-credit (or more) courses at DeSales University to earn a degree from DSU.
Please note that only credits are transferred; your grades for transfer courses are not calculated into your GPA at DSU.

- BI 263: Anatomy & Physiology I w/ Lab - 4 credits
- BI 264: Anatomy & Physiology II w/ Lab - 4 credits
- BI 252: Microbiology w/ Lab - 4 credits
- CH 107: Physiological Chemistry w/ Lab (must include all 3 topics: general, biochemistry, and organic) - 5 credits
- MA 111: Probability and Statistics - 3 credits
- PS 109: Introduction to Psychology - 3 credits
- PS 240: Human Development (must cover full lifespan: conception to death) - 3 credits
