Dr. Yardley is an assistant professor of philosophy at DeSales University. He holds a masters of divinity and doctoral degrees from the Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven and Marquette University. His dissertation, "When to Trust Authoritative Testimony: Generation and Transmission of Knowledge in Saadya Gaon, Al-Ghazâlî, and Thomas Aquinas," addresses the issue of learning from experts within each of the Abrahamic faiths.

Dr. Yardley was a visiting Predoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin and a Fulbright U.S. Student Program grantee to Belgium.
