Professional Licensure Disclosure
DeSales University is a member of the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC). As part of our commitment to transparency and compliance with federal regulations, we provide the following information for students enrolled in programs leading to professional licensure.
Under the new regulations governing institutions that participate in Title IV federal student aid programs (e.g., Pell Grants, Federal Student Loans), we are required to disclose whether our education programs meet the educational requirements for licensure or certification in each U.S. state and territory.
Students who plan to pursue teacher certification or licensure outside of Pennsylvania should review the NASDTEC Interstate Agreement (Information for Out-of-State Applicants - National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification) and consult with the appropriate state licensing agency to verify specific state requirements. While NASDTEC facilitates reciprocity among states, individual state regulations may vary, and additional coursework, testing, or other requirements may be necessary.
For more information regarding licensure pathways, please visit the NASDTEC website and contact your advisor for guidance and support.
