Alumni Recognized for Inspiring Their Communities
On Friday, December 5, 2025, members of the alumni community gathered with friends, family, and colleagues for the annual Alumni Awards Banquet to honor seven individuals whose lives reflect the values of DeSales University and Allentown College. From leadership and service to professional achievement, this year’s honorees embody St. Francis de Sales’ call to “be who you are and be that well,” inspiring their communities in meaningful ways.
Brynnlee Pavlovich ’17 received the Young Alumni Service Award for her continued dedication to education and student development, including her return to DeSales as assistant director of experiential learning. The Young Alumni Salesian Spirit Award went to Matthew Trovato ’18, whose vocational journey with the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales and service as a hospital chaplain exemplify compassionate presence and faith-filled leadership. John Bayeux III ’15 was honored with the Young Alumni Achievement Award for his professional leadership in healthcare innovation and ongoing involvement with the American Liver Foundation. The Dr. John “Coach” Compardo Impact Award was presented to Nick Nardo ’71, recognizing his ongoing commitment to DeSales and the sense of community he helped forge during the University’s earliest years. Brett Feldman ’07 received the Alumni Service Award for his groundbreaking work in street medicine and global advocacy for healthcare access. Beth Ritter-Guth ’95 was honored with the Alumni Salesian Spirit Award for her lifelong commitment to education and enduring connection to DeSales.
The evening concluded with the Alumni Achievement Award presented to Danny Bader ’85, whose work as a motivational speaker and author continues to inspire purpose, resilience, and faith in communities across the country. It was an evening of gratitude, joy, and treasured memories, celebrating the journeys that led each honoree to their well-deserved award.
