MSN, DNP Programs Among 2024 Best Graduate Schools
The Master of Science in Nursing and the Doctor of Nursing Practice programs are once again receiving high marks from U.S. News and World Report.
Both programs are among this year’s Best Nursing Schools. The rankings assessed in-person and hybrid programs on their research activity, faculty resources, student excellence, and qualitative ratings from experts. Both programs also secured spots on last year’s list.
“The DSU MSN programs offer a wide variety of options,” says Carol Gullo Mest, Ph.D., professor and chair of graduate nursing programs. “We are able to place students in excellent practicum sites, and many students obtain a position in their new role prior to graduating. The DNP program also prepares students for research activity focusing on clinical practice and leadership.”
Gullo Mest also notes that all nursing faculty maintain active clinical practice, have years of advanced practice experience across a variety of specialty areas, and are active in their state and national organizations.
The Doctor of Physical Therapy program also appears on this year’s Best Health Graduate Programs-Physical Therapy list, which is based on peer assessment data only.
