Speech-Language Pathology Program Celebrates First Cohort
Twenty-one students have made history as the Speech-Language Pathology program’s inaugural graduating cohort.
The program held its completion ceremony on Aug. 11 in the DeSales University Center. Students received their master’s hood and recited the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s code of ethics.
Susana Keller, CScD, program director, told the graduates that she is extremely proud and expects great things.
“As the first graduating class, you will always be the foundational cohort: the first group to shine as you represent the University and the program out in the big, vast world that so much needs you, your skills, and your compassion. You will not only be representing your considerable skills and talent but also the program, the University, and the profession.”
Congratulations to the inaugural cohort and this year’s award winners:
- Professional Excellence Award: Ayeshah Ali M’24.
- Academic Excellence Award: Lauren Friedman M’24.
- Salesian Spirit Award: Sydney Herrmann M’24.
