DeSales, Lansdale Catholic High School Partner on Dual Enrollment Agreement
DeSales University and Lansdale Catholic High School are joining forces to help students earn college credit early.
Father James Greenfield, OSFS ’84, president of DeSales (second from right, above), and James Casey, president of Lansdale Catholic (center, above), signed a dual enrollment agreement on Friday, October 14, at Lansdale Catholic.
“We are pleased and excited to partner with Lansdale Catholic, a school with a rich history and mission similar to our own. This unique opportunity will allow Lansdale Catholic students to get a jump-start on their college education.”
The agreement, effective as of August 2022, approves credit for courses in computer science, environmental science, calculus, and biology. Learning outcomes for each course have been approved by the corresponding academic department at DeSales. Additional courses may be added in the future.
“Lansdale Catholic High School is extremely pleased to join in this dual enrollment partnership with DeSales University,” says James Casey, president of Lansdale Catholic. “On behalf of our principal and assistant principal for academics, we want to express our gratitude to the work and preparation that was done by Mrs. Mary Antoni, our STEM advisor, as well as members of our science and math departments. Without everyone’s dedicated commitment, we would not be able to have such a wonderful opportunity for our LC students.”
DeSales has similar dual enrollment agreements in place with Allentown Central Catholic High School, Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, and St. Francis de Sales School in Toledo, Ohio.
