Trexler Tuesday: Check out Books Using Your Phone

NEW: Check out library books using an app on your phone! In addition to the new self-checkout station, Trexler Library’s meeScan provides an app for DeSales students, faculty, and staff to use to check out books on their own in the library. 

Here’s how to do it:

1. Search for meeScan in your app store and download it.
2. Allow meeScan to access your camera, send notifications, and use your location.
3. Touch START on the welcome screen.
4. Scan your DeSales ID or type in the numbers under the barcode (different than your ID number).
5. On the checkout screen, use the + button to checkout books.
6. Touch FINISH button when done. A receipt will automatically be emailed to you.
7. Stop at the deactivation station at the Circulation Desk to deactivate the books before you leave. Signs on the desk provide instructions.
