Mr. William Smith has over 27 years of law enforcement experience combining municipal police and Federal service. He has been a hostage/crisis negotiator since 1997 and has served on multiple emergency response teams throughout his career. Smith is a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is responsible for responding to federal hostage/crisis incidents as well as supporting municipal, state, and federal law enforcement agencies during crisis incidents. Smith, who is a former Coordinator of the FBI New York Field Office Negotiator Team, is also an instructor to various law enforcement agencies on hostage/crisis negotiations FBI certification. Smith received his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University and his Master's degree in Criminal Justice from St. Joseph's University. He is a member of the Delaware Valley Negotiator's Association and acts in an advisory role for regional negotiator teams.
