Dr. Tom Craig is an associate professor in the Division of Business, where he teaches undergraduate courses in Management and Data Analytics and MBA-level courses in Strategic Management, Strategic Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity, and Leadership. He earned his Ph.D. in strategic management at Temple University, an MBA in finance from Lehigh University, and a BBA in finance from Temple University. Before joining the full-time faculty of DeSales in January 2015, Tom taught in the undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs in the business schools at Lehigh, Temple, Villanova, and Fordham universities.
Before entering academia, Tom had a successful career in the healthcare software industry, as a certified technical trainer and IT consultant to large hospitals and physician groups, and he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Tom’s research interests are in the areas of strategic entrepreneurship and firm performance, strategies for managing innovation and knowledge flows in high technology industries, the organization of global production networks, and the improvement of healthcare delivery systems. His work has been published in the Journal of Business Research and Advances in Entrepreneurship, Firm Emergence & Growth, and he regularly presents his research at major national and international conferences, including the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society.
