Pranshu Gupta, Ph.D.
Program Director, Graduate Computer Science Programs; Associate Professor of Computer Science
Dr. Pranshu Gupta is the program director for the Graduate Computer Science Programs at DeSales University. She is also an associate professor of computer science at DeSales. Prior to joining the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at DeSales, she earned a Ph.D. from Kansas State University, an M.S. from James Madison University in secure software engineering, and a B.S. from Wilkes University in electrical engineering with a concentration in computer science.
Dr. Gupta’s research interests include software engineering, databases, and gaming. She has published refereed articles in various journals and presented at conferences in these areas. She is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
She is very passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and enjoys helping students with an interest in computer science to find their niche in the local and global digital community. She collaborates with local intermediate units to organize STEM summer camps for elementary school students and high school programming competitions. Currently, she serves as the advisor for the DeSales ACM Student Chapter.
Dr. Gupta currently resides in Allentown with her husband, Kumar, and their son, Vivaan.
