Melissa Gilroy, DC, MSPAS, PA-C

Melissa Gilroy, DC, MSPAS, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Hamilton College and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College, now the Northeast College of Health Sciences.
Following several years of clinical practice as a chiropractor, Melissa returned to advance her education in the DeSales University Physician Assistant Program and was the recipient of the Program Director's Award for her graduating class of 2012. Since graduation, she has been practicing clinically in the field of gastroenterology, where she also served as a preceptor for DeSales PA students.
Melissa joined the DeSales PA Program as an assistant professor in 2017. She is passionate about patient education and empowerment, and enjoys incorporating these topics into all coursework. She is a founding member of the PA Program DEI committee and serves on the university's Mission Committee and Institutional Review Board. Outside of her professional roles she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband, three children and mini Aussiedoodle, Echo.
