Lauren E. Brown, Ph.D.

Dr. Lauren E. Brown is an associate professor of sport management at DeSales. Prior to her time at DeSales, she worked full-time in Division I athletics, spending five years in student-athlete development at Stony Brook University. Dr. Brown has her Ph.D. in Sport Management from The Ohio State University, an M.Ed. in Sport and Recreation Administration from Temple University, and a B.S. in Marketing from Penn State University. 

Dr. Brown teaches a number of courses within the Sport Management program, including Sport Management and Leadership, Data-Driven Decision Making, and Sport Marketing and Promotions. Her research interests center on corporate social responsibility in sport, with special focus on athlete philanthropy and activism.  

In her downtime, Dr. Brown is an avid runner and yogi, having completed 5 marathons.
