Katie lives at the intersection of art and science. She started her ballet training at the age of 4 at The Joffrey Ballet School in New York City and continued to dance through her college years and beyond. Like many dancers, Katie came to Pilates as a way to stay in shape during the off-season and to find relief from the chronic injuries that plague dancers. It was also a way to combat the hours of sitting she did while working towards her BS in Physics.

After completing her undergraduate degree in 2007, Katie spent the next 13 years in public education, teaching high school physics. The perpetual student, she earned her Masters in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University in 2010, completed her Pilates apprenticeship becoming a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) in 2013, and in 2019 earned her MS in Kinesiology with a focus on Corrective Exercise and Orthopedic Rehabilitation from A.T. Still University.

Katie's expertise surrounds supporting dancers through life's major physical changes such as returning from injury, surgery, or pregnancy and childbirth. Using the latest research in biomechanics, fascial integration, and biotensegrity, Katie helps dancers come back stronger and more confident.

She currently lives in Bethlehem with her husband and their 2 daughters, and is the owner of Body in Motion Pilates.
