Annmarie Houck, MS

Professor Houck is the chair of the Department of Mathematics/Computer Science at DeSales University, as well as an assistant professor of mathematics. Prior to joining the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at DeSales, she earned an MS from Lehigh University and a BS from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales. Before joining the faculty at DeSales, Professor Houck worked for Air Products & Chemicals.

Professor Houck has taught virtually every course in the DeSales mathematics program.  In addition to her teaching, she coordinates the general affairs of the Department of Mathematics/Computer Science, which is comprised of seven full-time faculty and approximately 90 undergraduate students. Professor Houck also serves as advisor to the student actuary club.

Professor Houck is widely recognized on campus for her strong commitment to student learning and excellence in teaching. She is passionate about imparting mathematical knowledge to her students by using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different student learning styles.
