  • Testimonials

“I learned so much from having so many different teachers with a wide range of teaching styles and really came to know my strengths and weaknesses as a dancer. The two weeks were so worth my time not only because of the amazing training I received but also because I made lasting friendships and had the most fun of my summer doing activities with them as a resident student after classes!”

“SDI not only helped me improve as a dancer, but as a person as well. I greatly enjoyed working with the teachers and staying on campus was another wonderful experience in itself. It was truly an amazing experience and I highly recommend it for anybody who is interested in keeping dance in their life after high school and college.”

“SDI was a great experience for me, especially because I am looking to pursue dance as my career. I loved every second of it and I hope to return next year! SDI was a very memorable 2 weeks and I gained so much from this experience.”

“SDI gave me the opportunity to explore a variety of styles, with a great deal of teachers in just two weeks. Every teacher was informative and amazing to work with. Each instructor taught me something different about dance and performing and about myself as well. It was an amazing opportunity to work and connect with all the teachers, as well as the other students. We had so much fun, while also learning and expanding our comfort levels. Please continue offering a variety of classes as you do, as well as include the screen dance information session. I feel as though that was very interesting and important for upcoming dancers. Thank you so much for the experience!”

“The thing for me was I came very close to giving up dance completely, but this intensive helped me find my love for dance again. I'm the happiest I've ever been now.”

“I thought the program was very beneficial! 2 weeks of dancing and I can definitely see a difference in my technique and confidence level. I think it's a good opportunity to get you to take classes outside of your studio and away from the dancers you always dance with! It really shows you how you can handle different challenges.”
